| New Projects—Discovery Phase $375.00 New Projects Every new project starts with a ‘Discovery Phase’. During this step, we conduct preliminary research into the information you have provided. This allows us to assess the likely success of the project, and recommend research to progress. It is not unusual to discover new family members - past and present - during this stage. At the end of the ‘Discovery Phase’ you will receive an updated family tree and report documenting any discoveries made. Recommendations are made for the next stage of research. Each ‘next step’ is accompanied by a quotation, based on hours of work and expenses. At all times, our clients remain in control of their budget by choosing and pre-paying for their chosen direction of research. Payment is due in advance in all cases. No exceptions. * * * * * * Base Hourly Research Fee Our basic fees are $32 per hour. All expenses are extra. Most clients add an expense float to larger projects to prevent delays in applications. Payment is due in advance in all cases. No exceptions. * * * * * * Research Contracts (approx. 2-3 months) $1750 * Includes expenses allowance of $300 Research contracts average 60-70 hours and are completed in 2-3 months. (Sometimes more hours are added to complete a stage at no extra cost to you.) This arrangement allows for continual research. The researcher works without being limited by time or expenses - it is a more productive and cost effective way of progressing research.
